Impacts of industrial zones on workers and local people’s life in Thai Binh

Abstract

The formation of industrial zones has created opportunities for industrial development and shortened industrialization because it is possible to combine and learn the latest achievements in science and technology, business organization and management; at the same time, utilizes foreign investment capital for development. Since the past time, not only has the development of industrial zones in localities throughout the country had positive impacts on socio-economic but also revealed many negative problems in environment, income, epidemic, economic restructuring, infrastructure, etc. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to assess the impacts of industrial zones on workers and local people’s living in Thai Binh province by using methods of analysis, statistics, and synthesis of SPSS20 software with 73 questionnaires sent to workers in 6 industrial zones of Thai Binh. The research results propose some recommendations to create stable jobs, increase incomes and improve the lives of workers in Thai Binh province.
