DETERMINANTS OF LINKAGES BETWEEN FDI FIRMS AND DOMESTICS FIRMS: LITERATURE REVIEWS

Abstract

Promoting linkages between FDI enterprises and domestic firms is necessary to gain positive spillover effects of FDI and to access faster to global supply chains. However, the linkages are still relatively weak in Vietnam.  This study tries to investigate widely determinants of the linkages including the characteristics of both investors and recipient countries. From the perspective of the recipient country, it is important to understand the factors that influence the linkages. Understanding these factors will provide the basis for the government to promulgate policies and mechanisms to promote effectively linkages.
