EFFECTS OF LEADERSHIO STYLES ON FIRM PERFORMANTCE: THE CASE OF FIVE STARS JOINT STOCK COMPANY

Abstract

Leadership styles play an important role in entrepreneurial new businesses in today's business marketplace. A review of the literature reveals limited empirical research focused on the effect of  leadership, especially small businesses in Vietnam. The problem of this study was to address this gap in the research literature related to transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire leadership styles. Data for this study were collected by a Employees survey, sample MLQ 5X-Short of Bass and Avolio(1995) and 275 respondents completed the survey. Results of this study, Leaders may need to focus on these elements of transformational leadership to improve firm performance. Leaders can use the findings from this study to determine their leadership style and better understand how personal styles.
