STUDY AND SIMULATION OF 3-LEVEL NPC INVERTER OF EHA SYSTEM FOR "MORE ELECTRIC AIRCRAFT"
Electro-Hydrostatic Actuator (EHA) in "more electric" aircraft requires
complex control structures to realize precise and efficient power conversion.
Strategy of modulation control has always been a challenging subject. This paper
presents a study of EHA drives using a Three-Level Neutral Point Clamp converter
(3L-NPC) instead of conventional two-level inverter. The proposed calculations
are verified by analysis and simulation by PSIM software. The results show that
the system operates with better output quality than using a 2-level inverter.
