Information literacy of urban women: Current status and influencing factors

Abstract

       This study assesses the current state of information literacy among urban women in Vietnam and the influencing factors, including education level, occupation, income, and internet usage habits. A survey of 262 women revealed that information literacy is at a moderate level, with strengths in information ethics but limitations in information skills utilization. Education level and occupation have a significant impact on information literacy, while age and income do not show notable differences. The study proposes solutions to enhance information literacy through education, digital skills training, and policies that support access to accurate information.
