Discussions on digital information resource utilization: Opportunities and challenges for libraries

Abstract

    Exploiting digital information resources has become a crucial factor in enhancing the competitive edge and fostering economic development of each nation. Within the context of higher education in Vietnam, the utilization of digital information resources presents numerous opportunities and benefits, as well as facing some challenges. To overcome these challenges effectively, libraries need to have specific strategies, close collaboration with partners, and investment in appropriate skills and technologies. Exploiting digital information resources requires long-term investment and commitment from institutions and nations, but also holds the promise of significant economic and societal benefits.
