AN OVERVIEW OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIETNAMESE SONGS FROM 1945 TO PRESENT

Abstract

There have been made a remarkable contribution of the amount of Vietnamese songs in the proud history of Vietnamese nation through two great wars in the twentieth century. During these wars, many songs play an important role in the spiritual encouragement for people, soldiers who fought day and night tirelessly, overcome numerous hardships and sacrificed for independence and freedom. The article studies about the development of Vietnamese songs from 1945 to present in order to show their valuable art as well as their diversity and richness in the traditional music of Vietnam.
