Rhodamine B (RhB), a dye that is environmentally hazardous and harmful to living organisms, is
primarily used in various industries. The x-Prussian blue/g-C3N4 (x-H-PB/CN) composite with different
consentration ratio of K4Fe(CN)6 and g-C3N4 precursors (x = 0.1; 0.3; 0.5 mol.L-1) was successfully
synthesized by solid phase method. This material was used as a photocatalyst for the degradation of
RhB dye under visible light. The results showed that the x-H-PB/CN composite with the ratio x = 0.3
mol.L-1 had the best Fenton photocatalytic activity compared with the other ratios. The efficiency of
RhB degradation was 92.7% in 60 minutes in the presence of H2O2 as an oxidizing agent. This
demonstrates that the x-Prussian blue/g-C3N4 composite has a Fenton photosynthetic potential to
catalyze the degradation of toxic organic pigments in the aquatic environment.
