In this work, the silica materials are synthesized from the ash of brickyard. The precursorconcentration, solid-liquid ratio, calcination temperature … are investigated to find the best optimalpreparation conditions. The generated silica materials have silic dioxide SiO2 with 10 –15 nm ofparticle size, which was proved by the results of FT-IR, SEM image and XRD pattern. Moreover, theseSiO2 materials had the high adsorption capacity of Cu2+ and Pb2+ ions in the aqueous solutions. Thefirst-order adsorption kinetic and second – order adsorption kinetic showed a relatively good fit asapplying to the experimental data for the Cu2+ and Pb2+ adsorption processes.Key words: lead, copper, silica material, brickyard
