Abstract

The paper presents an algorithm to improve pulse width modulation method SIR to control three-phase asynchronous motors. The results were surveyed and evaluated by simulation model on Matlab-Simulink software. The model allows a comparative evaluation of the modulated voltage quality between the improved and classical methods, and concurrently shows that with the three-phase inverting switch rule of the improved algorithm, the fundamental leakage current in the branches of the inverter is eliminated, comparing to the classical algorithms.
