Abstract

This paper presents some results achieved in study on the mechanical model of device for converting sea wave energy into electrical energy. The device model works in the vertical direction of sea waves. The buoy of device floats on the sea surface to receive the energy from sea waves, it is directly connected via a rope to the electrical generating motor fixed on the seabed. The calculations give the main structure of device model to be studied and established, indicating the stable and unstable operating area of the model, the range of oscillation and determining the mechanical power level of device received according to Vietnam’s actual sea wave conditions
