VOLTAGE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT FOR INDUCTION MOTOR IN POWER SYSTEM

Abstract

This article introduces the issues related to power quality, causes an adverse effect on the power quality and reverse the impact of this factor to the effective working life of induction motors. The solution to improve power quality, especially the reactive power compensation solution are discussed. A method of determining the optimal compensation amount of reactive power to the high power induction motor is proposed.
