Dynamics of productivity growth in Vietnam: Current situation and solutions

Abstract

The recent study of Vietnam's labor productivity is lower than that of other countries in the region, more than half the average level of labor productivity in the ASEAN region, Has raised concerns about the quality of Vietnam's growth and development, especially the risk of lagging behind other countries in the region. In order to achieve high growth rates as in previous years, Vietnam has no other way to focus on improving labor productivity. This paper focuses on analyzing the dynamics of labor productivity growth in Viet Nam over the past time and suggests some directions in motivating Vietnam to increase labor productivity in the coming time.
