Evaluation on Agronomical Characters of Groudnut Varieties Grown in Spring and Autumn Seasons at Gia Lam – Hanoi

Abstract

Experiments were carried out in spring and autumn seasons from 2008-2010 in Gia Lam, Hanoi to evaluate growth, development and yield of 6 groundnut varieties introduced from China and 3 lines selected from hybrid progeny. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with three replications. The results indicated that most varieties had short duration (< 120 days), except var. S12 and CT1. The varieties exhibited favorable physiological characteristics, high dry weights and low pest incidence. Three varieties, viz. S12, TB25 and L08 showed high and stable yields
