Influence of Nutritional Solution on the Yield of Minituber Potatoes Produced by Aeroponic Technique

Abstract

The studies were carried out to identify the optimal nutrient solution (NS), pH and EC parameters on the yield of potato minitubers produced by aeroponic technique. The potato cultivars  (mainly Diamant) used in the experiments  were treated with different nutrient solutions and varying pH and  EC values. The most suitable nutrient solution was DD3 (developed by Institute of Agrobiology - HUA) at  pH = 6 and EC = 1,600 ms/cm. A yield of  1161 minitubers/m² (cultivar Diamant), 685 minitubers/m² (cultivar Atlantic), 624.7 minitubers/m² (cultivar KT2), and 620 minitubers/m² (cultivar Solara) was obtained
