Abstract

This study presents the results of a teachers and learners’ feedback survey on the assessment of 1A + 1B, 2A + 2B proficiency modules in the academic year 2016-2017 at the Faculty of French Language and Culture, University of Languages and International Studies - Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The survey found that teachers and students had positive feedbacks on the assessment quality of 1A + 1B, 2A + 2B language modules, and especially appreciated the variety of assessment methods as well as the fact that the results were returned to the students in time for them to improve their learning. The article also offers some suggestions for enhancing the effectiveness of proficiency assessment.
