  • Vũ Thị Chín

Abstract

The relations between journalists and readers can clearly be seen in question headlines. Questions in newspapers do not aim at receiving feedback; rather, they contain important information. They are just a means used by journalists to help them get closer to readers, engage them, and act as a questioner and interlocutor. This is also a method used by journalists to prepare some information for readers in order to encourage them to read their articles, and seek for readers’ agreement. This paper aims to analyze different types of questions in newspaper headlines and find out messages, implications… which journalists want to express.
