Abstract
This paper presents the study of translation mistakes by the third year students of the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS) - VNU. Based on an analytical framework of translation mistakes in terms of content and form mistakes, the authors carried out a survey of 406 translation assignments from week 1 to week 7 and the mid-term tests by 58 students in the frst semester of the academic year of 2017-2018. The survey result shows a variety of translation mistakes related to grammar, word choice, stylistics, pragmatics, and even typing. Finally, the authors propose some solutions to improve students’ translation quality in the nextclasses of translation.
