The intergrative constituent in Mother Goddess worship in Vietnamese folk beliefs (with the case study of Hoa-Duc-Tinh-Quan Small Shrine in Vinh Kim, Chau Thanh, Tien Giang)
Abstract
The paper focuses on surveying the Mother Goddesses of the Chinese community such as Thien-hau-thanh-mau (Heavenly Mother) and That-tinh-thanh-mau (Seven-Star-Mother) who are worshipped in the area of the Vietnamese-Mother-Goddess small shrine in Vinh Kim Village, Chau Thanh District, Tien Giang Province. The paper also explains the integrative constituents of the subject of worship that could be originated from its community’s beliefs.
