Commodity export promotion policy in association with present sustainable de^elopme^t requirements In Vietnam

Abstract

    With the efforts in the international economic integration and economic development under the exporl-oriented model. Vietnam's commodity export has achiced export turnover of over USD150 billion, accounting for 81% of GDP In terms of tins rale. Vietnam now ranks 4th in ASEAN. 5th in Asia and 8th in the world. However, apart trom positive contributions to economic growth and development, employment settlement and people's income improvement, the actual commodity export has shown various negative impacts on the countrys's sustainable developmenl. This research focuses on analyzing and clarifying inadequacies of the currrent actuality. Based on that, some implications for policy makers are provided to pi onime coninioctin export in association with sustainable development requirements of  Vietnam
