Aid policy in the context where Vietnam becomes a middle-income country

Abstract

    After more 25 years of Doi Moi, Vietnam has made great achievements in economic development and social progress. In 2010, Vietnam achieved GNI per capita was about US$ 1,168, which is the starting point of middle-income countries. Aid for Vietnam will change in natural, scale, structure and modalities of delivery, approaches. This paper focuses on the changes of ODA and concessionalloans for Vietnam, raised issues related to the management and use of ODA in Vietnam in the near future.
