Lessons from a Japanese management style

Abstract

     Japanese economy has seen phenomenal growth though it is not endowed with natural resources, and was destroyed after the World War II. This is the result of a Japanese style of management based on solidarity, the continuous improvement and a production method known as "lean production". This article examines the advantages and limitations of the Jpanese management style and draws the lessons for management in Vietnam.
