Factors affecting the community’s satisfaction with the development of industrial zones in Bac Ninh province

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the satisfaction of the residential
community (HLCDDC) for the development of industrial parks (IZs) in Bac Ninh province. Data was collected
through a direct survey of 600 individuals living in areas near Que Vo, Thuan Thanh, Tien Son, Yen Phong
industrial zones (during the period from 7/2022 to 8/2022), collected 520 valid votes. Based on testing the
reliability of the scale using Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient, EFA factor discovery analysis, OLS regression
analysis, the results show that there are 6 groups of factors affecting the HLCDDC for the development of
industrial zones in Bac Ninh province, includes: Income and Employment (TNVL); Utilities Infrastructure and
Services (HTTI); Environment and Health (MTSK); Residential land (DDNO); Socio-Cultural (VHXH); Local
government (CQDP). Through OLS regression analysis, all 6 groups of factors are statistically significant,
affecting HLCDDC, in which the group of factors includes (income and employment, infrastructure and utility
services, environment and health) are three groups that have stronger impacts than the other three groups
of factors (land, housing, socio-cultural, local government). Research results contribute to documents on
industrial park development, provide some policy suggestions for authorities to contribute to improving the
level of HLCDDC for the development of industrial zones in Bac Ninh province.
