The National Standard TCVN 7898:2018 for electric water heaters with storage volume less than 50 liters has been developed and promulgated by Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology in 2018. However, the testing conditions required by that standard are difficult to comply with for existing testing laboratories in Vietnam. This article suggests a number of new testing conditions which are easier to carry out for testing purpose but still maintain the testing results at a quality in compliance with TCVN 7898:2018.
