Applying geotextile nets of one and two directions to reinforce pavements and slops of soft soil embankments

Abstract

      Geotextile nowaday has many applications on soft soil consolidation all over the world, as well as in Vietnam. Its main purpose is strengthening the tension of soft soil (almost no tension strength). Hence, increasing stability of soil in resisting external compact, hence it is usually used under road embarkment or slope embarkment. This article analyzies effective uses of geotextile materials under road-bed and on slope, imbarkment on soft soil and some practical applications of 1-dimension and 2-dimensions polymer geotextile, which has been constructed in District 2 and District 9, in Ho Chi Minh City.
