Determination of Piezometer location in landslide block for measurement of water pressure

Abstract

    The Tinh Tuc monitoring station was located at centre of block movement. There are three equipments which are Piezometer, Inclinometer and Raingauge for landslide prediction. This presentation demonstrates an analysis of selecting sensor location with the purpose of examining pore-water pressure. Based on the in-situ investigation of landslide block dimension, the slope failure was simulated using the GeoStudio (2012) in order to determine the location of slip surface, investigate the underground water level in dry season. The first sensor was located at the underground water level in dry season, the second sensor was placed at the intermediate position, and the third one was installed at
the bottom of a predicted slope-failure mass.
