Setting the standard data of stress and deformation to compare with monitoring data in concrete dam, applying for Son La project
Abstract
This research gives a general viewpoint over the preparation of standard data sets (including stress and deformation) within concrete dam monitoring for dam safety assessment. The working state of a dam is assessed in three grades: normal, abnormal and accidental. The normal working state (level 1) of the
dam has variable monitoring data over a specified range, depending on the degree of heterogeneity of the dam body material and the foundation. By presenting the method of processing experimental datas within calculation scenarios, the mentioned method in the article determines the limit values of level 1 of stresses and deformation in concrete dam. The proposed calculation was applied for Son La dam. For the first time, the calculation results are presented in a scientific, systematic manner for reference and dam safety assessment.
