Abstract

Fuel additive is used to improve fuel properties and/or improve combustion process in internal combustion engine. This paper presents testing results of a nanoelmulsion fuel additive in diesel (DO) and B5 biodiesel fuel on a Huyndai D4BB diesel engine to reduce emissions and fuel economy. With DO-Additive fuel, results showed that on average engine power increases by 2,9% and specific fuel consumption reduces by 5,5% at full load modes, the CO, HC, NOx emissions and smoke reduced by 9,3%, 10,2%, 11,5% and 5,6%, respectively compared to DO fuel. With B5-Additive fuel, results showed that on average engine power increases by 0,28% and specific fuel consumption reduces by 1,6% at full load modes, the CO, HC emissions, s
