Abstract

Since the early 21st century, contemporary trauma culture has increasingly recognized the role of non-human agents, leading to the conceptualization of trauma as a posthuman phenomenon. This perspective necessitates an interdisciplinary approach that integrates trauma theory and posthumanism to critically and comprehensively address the complexities of contemporary society. By employing an inter-theoretical framework, utilizing parallel reading and deconstruction, this study examines the connections, intersections, convergences, interactions, and resonances between trauma theory and posthumanism. This integrative approach offers significant potential for application in cultural, literary, and philosophical research, as well as in broader post-humanities. Furthermore, the article identifies areas warranting further investigation, thus contributing to the ongoing development of this interdisciplinary field.
