Abstract

Three fourth of Earth's surface is covered by the sea that greatly impacts on Global climate.Sea surface conditions always change complicatedly on wide scale that is interested by variousscientific branches for its research and monitoring. Nowadays with the development of SpaceTechnology and Remote Sensing, the coastal research and monitoring are enhanced. The mostinterested parameters are sea surface temperature (SST), sea surface salinity (SSS), chlorophyllain which SST plays an important role presenting the exchange of the sea - air layer energy flux'ttnd directly impacts to the coastal climate and environment, as well as to its biodiversity, etc. This paper provides some preliminary research results of the Space Technology Institute(STI) scientists on sea surface temperature based on the Passive Microwave Remote Sensingmethod and experiments of brightness temperature measurement using .L-band radiometer(LNIR).
