Research on flouride adsorption of magnesium doped Hydroxyapatite

Abstract

Nano powder Mg-HAp was synthesized by precipitation method from Ca(N03)2, Mg(N03)2 and (NH4)2HP04 at pH 10. The results of morphologies, phase component and specific surface area showed that Mg-HAp powder exhibited spherical shape, agglomerated with nondeteminable size, and the specific surface area of 116,76 mVg; whereas the Mg content in HAp was 0,99 % corresponding to the doped yield of about 82,5 %. The factors which influence the F' absorption yield and capacity of Mg-HAp such as adsorption time, Mg-HAp mass, pH values, concentration of F‘ and temperature were investigated. Yield of floride removing achieved 89,97 % at pH 7, mass of Mg-HAp 0,2 g, temperature of 60 °c in 30 minutes.
