Reducing DC-Link voltage spike and increasing voltage boost in trans-z-source inverter
Abstract
This paper presents an improvement upon the trans-Z-source inverter with providing a higher boost voltage inversion capability and continuous input current. In order to reduce voltage spikes on DC link, a lossless snubber circuit with one capacitor and two diodes is added. This p>aper shows the operating principles and analysis of the improved inverter, and the effect of leakage inductance in the transformer. PSEM simulation results were shown. Also, a laboratory prototype was constructed based on a DSP TMS320F28I2 with 100 V dc input to verify the performance of the inverter.
