ISOLATION AND STRUCTURAL ELUCIDATION OF SOME NAPHTHOPYRONE AND ANTHRAQUINONE DERIVATIVES FROM Eleutherine bulbosa

Abstract

Two naphthopyrone derivatives, including eleutherinol (1) and eleutherinoside A (2) have been isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of Eleutherine bulbosa together with an anthraquinone derivative 1,3,6-trihydroxy-8-methyl- nthraquinone (3). The structures of these compounds were determined by spectroscopic data analysis.
