The study found, CC and disasters produced high pressure for Giao Lac commune. Due to gender role, the impacts of CC on men and women were different. Study results pointed out the positive change of society perception in the role of women. They participated in decision making of nearly 70% solutions for CC adaption in horticulture and livestock, and 100% in financial solutions. However, improving the role of women in production and CC adaptation activities, accompanying with burden of housework and other gender gap might increase gender inequality in Giao Lac Commune. Thus, this study proposed that local government and other stakeholders should take gender equality into account for any CC adaption or mitigation policy or plan which is being or will be implemented in this commune.
