Develop marine tourism economy in Thailand and lessons for Vietnam

Abstract

Thailand is now a tourism boom, especially sea tourism. Although recent years have seen the coup affecting security and safety, the number of visitors to this country remains very large, more than 3.5 times the number of tourists traveling to Vietnam. The article explores the success stories and failures of Thai tourism development in general and marine tourism in particular, drawing lessons for Vietnamese tourism.
