The Impact of Trade Development on Income Inequality in Vietnam: Theory and Practice

Abstract

The development of trade activities in the world as well as in Vietnam has had a certain impact on economic growth and thus has a positive impact on the income of every person in society. However, the impact on income distribution is positive or not is still not clear. This study, therefore, is expected to clarify the impact of trade development on inequality in Vietnam by approaching the provincial panel analysis of the period 2002-2012.
