Survey on the participation of poor households in the tea value chain in Thai Nguyen

Abstract

The advantage of globalization and international economic integration as today affects not only small production and life of poor people. In addition, the tea value chain has become an indispensable element of the global tea production system, giving rise to potential opportunities and difficulties for the poor. The greatest difficulty for poor households is to be abandoned by the development of the value chain itself. On the other hand, the participation of poor households may provide the opportunity to improve the durability of their rivers. Therefore, surveying the participation of poor households in the value chain of the tea industry in Thai Nguyen is necessary to gain a better view on this issue.
