Labor mobility in the context of how much the economy fluctuates

Abstract

Measuring the average GDP growth rate of 2000-2007 at 7.6% per annum, the author points to the unstable trend of Vietnam's economy over the next six years from 2007 to 2013. Among these trends, the paper focuses on the movement of labor in terms of: (1) major labor migration flows for 2007-2013; (2) wage labor migration matrix 2013; (3) factors affecting the movement between non-wage and wage employment. From the results of the analysis, the article concludes that Vietnam's labor market has been moving from low productivity to higher productivity, namely in the agricultural sector, Then move from the agricultural sector to the non-agricultural sector. The next shift is from informal to formal in the region.
