Abstract
Controlling grid-connected distributed sources through a power converter that
mimics synchronous generator operation improves grid stability. The microgrid
operates under many different operating modes, so the parameters of the virtual
synchronous generator controller also need to be adjusted in accordance with the
changes of the grid. This paper proposes a microgrid frequency control model in
autonomous mode through a virtual synchronous generator with adjustable
parameters. The article also simulates the process of controlling the frequency of
microgrid in independent mode on Matlab/Simulink tool.
