SOME PRELIMINARY COMMENTS ON THE PHONOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF TÀY MUANG BO LECT (SA PA, LAO CAI)

Abstract

Tày Muang Bo, also known as Tày Sa Pa, is the language of the Tày ethnic
community whose current distribution is in Sa Pa Town. Not only Vietnam but
also Southeast Asia, this lect is still to conduct further research. In this paper,
author presents some preliminary öndings on the phonological system of Tày
Muang Bo, based on our öeldwork data and summarizing relevant studies. All
of these comments are ideas for the next research in the future into this lect
and other Kra-Dai languages in Vietnam.
