Abstract

Nowadays, in industrial sector, squirrel cage induction motors play an increasingly important role due to their numerous advantages, reliability, and simple
maintenance during operation. Therefore, they are widely used in various industries, particularly in applications requiring rotating torque in practice. While
operating, the supply voltage has a signiöcant impact on the motor's parameters and performance characteristics. Hence, this paper conducts a study on the
inøuence of momentary voltage sag on the three-phase power distribution network on the motor. The two most critical working characteristics of the motor,
which are evaluated, are speed and current. To investigate the momentary voltage sag phenomenon, the paper utilizes mathematical models and applies
Matlab/Simulink for simulation. Based on the results of the speed and current characteristics, the paper evaluates the impact of momentary voltage sag on the
motor and provides recommendations to ensure stable and reliable operation of the electric machinery..
