Analysis of labor productivity volatility and the impact of labor productivity on Vietnam's economic growth in the period 2006-2013

Abstract

Productivity (Labor productivity) is mentioned in many policy forums today. To better understand the current situation of labor productivity growth in Viet Nam, this paper focuses on the following issues: (i) Contents of labor productivity, labor productivity, meaning and methodology of labor productivity calculation; (Ii) Vietnam's labor productivity results in recent years for the whole economy as well as for each economic sector and for each economic sector; (Iii) Influence of labor productivity factors, industry groups and labor union change by sectoral groups on labor productivity fluctuations on the national economy. On that basis, the paper identifies the contribution of labor productivity and labor factors to the economic growth rate (GDP growth) from 2006 to 2013 and the annual average of periods from 2006 to 2010. 2011 - 2013 and 2006 - 2013.
