Abstract

The industry cluster is the geographical concentration of interrelated businesses in a given sector. To assess the potential for the formation and development of an industrial cluster in a given geographical area, it is first necessary to determine the geographic concentration of a specific industry in a geographic area. certain. This study uses loca tion quotient (LQ) methodology to initially determine the degree of industrial concentration in cities and towns across the country. From the aggregation of cluster models in the world and the results of calculations for Vietnam, the paper proposes models of clusters with potential for development by sector / region and region / territory in Vietnam in the period.
