Abstract

The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) will be established by the end of 2015 with the goal of creating a unified market and base for member states, in association with the free movement of goods and services. Investment and labor. ASEAN has an area of ​​nearly 4.5 million km2 but has a population of up to 612 million and a relatively high density of 136 persons per square kilometer, equivalent to Asia, which is 2.7 times higher than the world average. By 2014, the real exchange rate will reach over $ 2.5 trillion; GDP per capita of about 4,000 USD will be a promising opportunity to promote the 10 ASEAN members to develop their economy evenly and to integrate into the world. The integration process will open up new opportunities for sustainable development and prosperity, but the challenge posed to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam is not small and increasingly close to competition. With goods and services imported from ASEAN with rich models, diverse, good quality, cheap ... Therefore, the issue for the community of SMEs should improve competitiveness, strengthen inter Cooperation, otherwise Vietnam will become a market for goods to countries in the region.
