Institutional market reform in Vietnam: Looking back on the next step

Abstract

The economic reform practice of nearly 30 years in our country has shown that whenever there is strong economic institutional reform under the market mechanism, the economy has more incentive to increase and develop. However, in the context of domestic and foreign economic change, the balance to develop since the reform of 1986 was virtually eliminated, many "bottlenecks" of economic regulation emerged. There must be further institutional market reforms. Actually, last time. Economic institutional reform has been promoted and is considered one of the three strategic breakthroughs. After pointing out the concept and objectives of market economy reform, the general assessment of some results of institutional market reform in our country over the past time, the article will focus on identifying Some "knots" economic institutions mainly obstruct the process of renewal, economic development of our country. On that basis, the paper will propose some solutions to continue reforming economic institutions in the coming time.
