Economic restructuring of the Red River Delta in the context of climate change

Abstract

The Red River Delta (RRD) is the second largest GDP in the country. Although the economic structure of the Red River Delta has changed dramatically, but with extreme weather conditions, fluctuations with increasing frequency has greatly affected the growth and development of Regional economy. The paper focuses on analyzing the actual conditions and from which solutions are developed to achieve the goals set for the next phase of climate change adaptation. In the coming time, the Red River Delta needs to synchronously implement common solutions such as: raising awareness of all levels, sectors and people about climate change; To review and adjust regional development plans: To attract domestic and foreign investment capital to build infrastructure and mitigate and adapt to climate change; To increase investment in the development of science and technology; Training high quality human resources.
