Solutions to boost consumption of spearhead agricultural products in the Central Highlands

Abstract

Thanks to the high natural advantages and high economic efficiency and consistent with the policies to support the development of agricultural products accordingly, the area and output of spearhead crops in the Central Highlands (including: Coffee, Lake Pepper, Cashew and Rubber Tree) have enjoyed strong growth in recent years. However, the consumption of these agricultural products encountered many difficulties as consumption patterns are spontaneous, lack of stable contracts; Unstable output prices, the situation is devalued season is quite common; Trained by traders, product price pressure, the level of participation in the product value chain is very low. Based on the current situation analysis, the paper proposes a number of measures to promote the consumption of spearhead goods in the region, including: (i) expanding and providing information on export markets; (Ii) branding key agricultural products; (Iii) link farming consumption; (Iv) Solutions to business; And (v) solutions to the people.
