Abstract
The present experiment was carried out at households in Cam Hoang commune, Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province to determine growth of earthworms raised in 3 types of cultures: Formula 1: 70% pig manure + 30% banana trunk (composted)); Formula 2: 60% pig manure + 20% pig manure + 20% banana trunk (composted); and Formula 3: 50% cow manure + 50% pig manure (composted). Results show that after 60 days of experiment earthworms developed well with the culture 1 (the biomass increased more than 3.6 times for the first batch and 2.45 times for the second batch,) followed by culture 2 (the biomass increased more than 3.48 times for the first batch and 2.17 times for the second batch, and the last was culture 3 (the biomass increased more than 2.85 times for the first batch and 2.06 times for the second batch
