Effects of Exploitation Systems on Rubber Yield of Rubber Tree in Dak Lak Province

Abstract

A study on rainguard of the cut surface of rubber trees during harvest period in Dak Lak province was carried out to identify best rainguard practice that results in high latex yield and economic efficiency. Three rain cover treatments that varied with cover materials were applied. The observations were made on were number of tapping days, quality, latex yield per tapping
(g/tree/tapping), latex yield per month (g/tree/month) and economic efficiency. The result indicated that rainguard exerted positive effect on number of tapping days, tapping quality, latex yield. Among the treatments, the rain cover with foam yielded the highest latex yield with an increase by 8.0% as compared to the control, and had a profit 7,583,600 VNĐ/ha.
