Developing Economic of Craft Villages in Yen Mo District, Ninh Binh Province - Advantages, Difficults and Challenges

Abstract
Developing economics of craft villages has considered as first priority to push up development of handicraft industry in Yen Mo - one of district inthe south of Ninh Binh province. In 2009, 7 villages of Yen Mo have been recognized as traditional craft villages included 3242 households and 8 enterprises involving in made noodle, sedge making, embroider, bamboo and rattan in. Total production value of 7 craft villages was 56.5 billion VND, average of income/labor was 379 thousand VND/month. However, craft villages in Yen Mo has still faced difficulty and challenges. Through SWOT matrix analysis, this study have pointed out 7 problems for developing economics of craft villages in Yen Mo district, Ninh Binh province
